Our core need

Our core volunteer role is Gallery Docent, providing a warm welcome and engaging visitors during our open hours. We have regular gallery hours every Saturday from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, where you can sign up for either a 2-hour or 4-hour shift. We're also open the first Thursday of every month from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, for the Pioneer Square Artwalk, providing additional opportunity to connect with community.

We are seeking passionate, motivated, and reliable individuals who are eager to contribute their enthusiasm and expertise. Whether you're a seasoned arts professional, a student, or simply someone who loves art and wants to be part of a vibrant community, your contribution will make a real difference.

Beyond gallery sitting, there are often exciting opportunities to assist with behind-the-scenes work, including:

  • Exhibition Installation & De-installation: Get hands-on with artists bringing their visions to life.

  • Gallery Turnover: Help prepare the space between shows, ensuring it's pristine for the next installation.

  • Special Events & Activations: Support our pop-up events and interdisciplinary programs.

We ask our dedicated volunteers to commit to at least 4 total gallery hours during every 8-week exhibition cycle. This flexible structure allows you to plug in where your skills and bandwidth best align, truly embodying our flat organizational structure.
